Start in Minnesota is a free resource for people forming and running businesses in Minnesota. The focus is deliberately narrow: what Minnesota law actually does, what you have to file, what it costs, and what happens if you leave something out. There is enough generic "how to start an LLC" content on the internet already, and almost none of it tells you that Minn. Stat. § 322C.0404 splits your profits equally no matter who funded the company.

The rules this site holds itself to

Every legal assertion names its source. Each guide and article carries the statute or agency page it came from and the date a human last checked it. This is enforced by the build — a page without sources will not compile.
Nothing is estimated. Fees come off the Secretary of State's published schedule. If a number is unknown, it is left out rather than guessed.
No client stories. Nothing here is drawn from any client's matter. Where an article describes a recurring problem, it describes the pattern, never a person or a case.
The builders never phone home. Document builders run entirely in your browser. There is no server behind them, and nothing you type is transmitted or stored — this is checked mechanically at build time, not just promised here.
No conversion theatre. No countdowns, no scarcity, no testimonials, no pop-ups, no "limited spots." The invitation to talk to a lawyer is identical on every page and never tuned to what you just read.
